Citizenship and Immigration Canada managed to lower the backlog of the immigration visas by 40%, and new applicants can now get their visa in one year instead of the six year waiting period under the old immigration rules.
CIC Canada is now more conservative about the immigration of skilled workers and professionals from around the world as it is now a common practice to source and review the immigration priorities based on feedback from the economic and labour market stake holders in Canada.
This is not necessarily a bad thing, the immigration system in Canada
, continues to be the " BEST IN THE WORLD" and is very diversified in the types of visa and in it’s essence a partnerships between the Canadians and honest families and individuals looking for a better place to live. New immigrants can relatively find jobs and integrate themselves in the local communities.
A recent comment from the minister said that: “The Action Plan for Faster Immigration is designed to make immigration more responsive to Canada’s economic conditions. When these conditions change, the instructions are meant to change too,” said Minister Kenney. “The first set of instructions has had a significant impact, but our research shows it is time to revise them to make sure they continue to meet their goals.”
